PACE Vendor Job Status Gateway
An open-source gateway connecting PACE to a vendor-facing status board for outsourced bindery jobs.
PACE Vendor Job Status Gateway
Tracking outsourced bindery jobs means phone calls, emails, and spreadsheets that go stale by lunch. We built a gateway that connects PACE to a simple status board vendors can see and update directly. Jobs flow out automatically. Status updates flow back in. No more chasing.
The Problem
When a bindery outsources work — laminating, die-cutting, specialty finishing — the job leaves the building and enters a black hole. The CSR calls the vendor. The vendor checks with the floor. Someone emails back an hour later. By then the customer has already called asking for an update. Multiply this across a dozen active outsource jobs and you’ve got a full-time job just tracking other people’s work.
How It Works
The gateway sits between your PACE system and a lightweight web interface your vendors can access. When a job is flagged for outsourcing in PACE, it automatically appears on the vendor’s status board. The vendor sees only their jobs — a read-only slice with the information they need and a simple interface to report status back.
No logins to PACE. No access to your network. No training manuals. A vendor clicks a button, and the status update flows back into your system.
Key Capabilities
- Automatic job push — outsourced jobs appear on the vendor board as soon as they’re flagged in PACE
- Vendor status updates — simple, structured status reporting that flows back into your production tracking
- Read-only isolation — vendors see only their jobs, never your system
- On-premise deployment — runs on your infrastructure, behind your firewall
- Open source — no licensing fees, no vendor lock-in, no strings
Scope
Built for shops running PACE that outsource finishing work to trade vendors. Designed to be simple enough that a vendor can use it without a phone call explaining how.
Status
In active use at Puget Bindery. Open source.
